With KG in tow they've got 5 players under contract (KG, PP, Rondo, Bradley, JJ) signed for around 43M. Add in cap holds for the rookies (but not counting Ray and Bass' cap holds) and you're at around 45M. Cap is around 57M, so they've got about 12M in cap room right now plus the MLE, LLE and veteran minimums.
Thing is, they unless they renounce Ray or Bass (or they sign somewhere else) I don't see how they can resign Green AND use the MLE to bring in a new player.
Is there something I'm missing? They can't sign Green until they deal with the cap holds on Ray and Bass because those holds put them over the cap. If they sign both of those guys then they have to use the MLE on Green right?

Yeah, this is why I absolutely HATE the Green signing. Esp for 9M. Look at the players getting 9M - Nash, Lin, Dragic. All infinitely superior players to that of a league average back-up small forward.
Bass at 6M would be a lot more helpful to our team than Jeff fucking Green I know that. AND it saves us money.

Seif, where did you see he was getting 9M? I haven't heard a number yet.
...and, really Lin and Dragic are 'superior' to Green? Your basing your assessment of Green on his performance in the playoffs two years ago.....I would agree with you if that's the type of performance that you can expect from him, but I think it's eminently reasonable that he's going to play much better than that. Frankly, I think he can give you everything that Bass can and more; bigger, more athletic, better passer/playmaker.

Speaking of Bass....I wonder how feasible a sign/trade swap of Bass and Ilyasova would be? I know that Bass' agent has said that there a half-dozen teams interested in him, but I haven't heard which teams.
Would love to see them bring in a another 4/5.
