I don't understand.
Why don't we bring this group back for another run at it? Our team is going to be deeper next year. The East sucks. Only Miami is a sure-fire good team.
There's more incentive to keep a team competitive and on the map to make it an attractive place for free agents whenever that happens down the line.
If we blow this team up and have a suck-ass team next year I am going to be fucking irate.

LMFAO. It's over dude. And I hate to say this, but I wonder if we'd be playing today if we had OJ Mayo instead of Ray Ray. Ainge is pretty good at doing renovation as opposed to rebuilds, so let's give it time.

In that instance, would we have cap space to sign Paul?

No.
Rather have DWill and Dwight anyways.
Dwill is less of an injury risk.

MacMullet was on WEEI the other day and according to a few people I follow on twitter that listened. She said the C's plan to build around Rondo now, not trade him. She also said Indy will match any offer Hibbert gets.

I question if New Orleans will match any offer that Gordon gets based on his injury history. I would package Bradley and picks to do a sign and trade for Gordon in a heartbeat.

I think the plan for this offseason is to roll over the cap space by resigning KG to decent money but 1-2 years max and signing other guys that are willing to take shorter contracts (including Ray possibly).
Resign KG Sign OJ Mayo Sign Green Let Bass walk Resign Pietrus Draft some combination of Arnett Moultrie, Andrew Nicholson, Fab Melo, Festus Ezeli, Moe Harkless, Jeffrey Taylor, Quincy Miller, Khris Middleton, or Evan Fournier with their 3 picks.
Then look to make a splash in the 2014 offseason.

I like it Herbs, but signing Mayo I don't think will be a possibility if we are going to sign Green and re-signing KG and Ray.
Also, I think Bass is coming back.
I'd like to see us use our MLE on the Kaveman. That'd put Bass and Green on the bench which would make up a nice second unit.

You keep obsessing over that goofball.

I'm with you Sapp on Kaman, no interest. Rather grab a young big like Melo or Ezeli (who you should be able to get in the 2nd) to play a Perk-like role but off the bench. KG swing between the 5 and the 4 and either Green or Bass at the 4 with another young big like Moultrie or Nicholson off the bench at the 4.
I don't see any way that Bass and Green are both on the team next year. I think, if he's healthy, and he's here for a full camp, Green is a better version of Bass. Good midrange shooter, but bigger, better rebounder, defender, and passer.

Oh, and Seif, you're probably right about Mayo. He is restricted but I'm not sure how much Memphis will fight to keep him. Another guy in the draft I could see Ainge being interested in is Wroten. He seems like a Tony Allen 2.0.
